For me, improving the performance in Safari would be an extremely welcome innovation in the upcoming macOS 13. Apple is said to have been working on this for some time. What is perhaps currently noticeable, is the system performance, which isn't always keeping up with the new processors.

The Mac operating system is secure, reliable and stable. Personally, I would be happy to see a revision of Home.app and also more practical features like the automatic detection of objects in photos. Some developments are anticipated for the Health.app and user aids. Very little is known about innovations in iOS 16, the appearance is not expected to change dramatically. Code-named "marble," some are describing the visual upgrade as "significant." The major change is that OS X may shed its platinum look for a darker chrome visual.
However, rumors have been circulating recently that Apple has been working on a new user interface all along. At the time, there were no announcements about a new look and feel. When Apple announced Snow Leopard, it was billed as an under-the-hood upgrade to maximize dual core processors and improve overall performance. That's because Quicktime's new look would be part of a Snow Leopard visual overhaul. You may have also noticed from the Quicktime photo that the titlebar was a little darker than usual. This is similar to what happens in iTunes when you select full-screen mode. Instead of the regular Quicktime window, the controls will appear as a clear glass panel when you mouse over the screen. Apple Insider supplied this mock up, which shows a new Quicktime with "virtual playback controls," presumably to maximize the screen space. Quicktime is reportedly getting an under-the-hood overhaul, but its look may also change. In the end it's all guesswork, but it's worth considering as Apple looks to the future.
